Vaccination Requirements
Stay
and Play Pet Resort must be in possession of your pet’s vaccination
records prior
to your check in date. Your veterinarian can simply fax evidence of
vaccinations to us at 941.776.8589. Bordetella (kennel cough) can be
either a 6 month or 12 month vaccine so it’s important to check the due
date for this “live virus” vaccine. There are two methods in which to
administer Bordetella vaccines. Intra-nasal or injection. Being a live
virus vaccine, there are a couple of things to keep in mind:
Intra-nasal Bordetella vaccines takes effect in 72 hours, injected
Bordetella vaccines takes effect in 7-10 days. Some dogs may actually
contract the virus via the vaccine and can take up to 21 days after the
vaccination was administered.
